Meteorological Department (IMD) launched its own app that will give real-time
updates and warnings across 450 cities across the country, the first of its
kind official weather app. Before this, all apps displayed past data and rain observations, but could not
give out real-time alerts to the users.
Called "Mausam", the application is focused on the urban populace and will give acknowledged climate highlights and forecasts for upto seven days across the listed 450 cities. It will likewise show radar and satellite pictures, which were prior noticeable just on IMD's site.
The application will grow its
